IGNOBLE Patch Notes After Launch

IGNOBLE did not freeze on launch day. Retromagine shipped Hotfix #1 the same night the game unlocked, then stacked two more hotfixes, a modes update, a follow-up balance pass, and a card-display correction. This page is the living changelog for the wiki: read Steam first, then use these notes to decide whether Best Builds, Farming Timer Tips, or Blood Blisters need a reread tonight.

We paraphrase official announcements into player impact. We do not invent unpublished numbers. If a tooltip on your client disagrees with an older screenshot, the client wins.

Timeline at a glance

  • August 12, 2026 — Steam launch; Hotfix #1 at 23:00 UTC.
  • August 13Hotfix #2 (morning) and Hotfix #3 (later that day).
  • August 14Major Update #1: Modes, then a Major Update Hotfix the same evening.
  • August 16Cards Display Hotfix.

Keep Release Date & Launch for the original unlock plan. Keep this page for everything after the store flipped to playable.

Hotfix #1 (August 12)

Launch night focused on inputs and localization, not a secret extra boss.

  • Reset Controls and Reset Settings buttons were added to the language select menu as a bandage for broken schemes.
  • AZERTY layouts lost a hidden dual-bind that blocked the I key used to sacrifice cards.
  • A Cyrillic crash on the first hit was fixed.
  • A visual glitch during environment transitions after a boss kill was fixed.
  • A Korean-language issue on the first-time card event was fixed.

If your sacrifice input does nothing, update, then hit those reset buttons before you dismantle a working deck. Details belong on Controls and Ability Cards.

Hotfix #2 (August 13)

Blood Blisters became less of a panic event and more of a damage check.

  • Blisters take longer to grow and pop.
  • They require fewer hits.
  • Curse range dropped.
  • Attack Range II received a bug fix (paired with Attack Distance II work in later notes).
  • The Blood Blisters achievement flipped from round-based to lifetime progress.

If you were farming that trophy in a single frantic run, stop. Lifetime tracking is the current rule. Strategy for the event itself lives on Blood Blisters.

Hotfix #3 (August 13)

Two small but important lines:

  • The 1000 kills in a single run achievement was temporarily disabled.
  • After the current final boss, blood blister events can appear with a random chance.

Do not grind a disabled trophy. Check Achievements before you wreck a save chasing it.

Major Update #1: Modes (August 14)

This is the structural change. Retromagine added modes as separate progressions with their own rules.

  • IGNOBLE — the original campaign. Continue where you left off.
  • IGNOBLITE — easier enemies, less punishing projectiles and damage, faster progression, separate save.

The studio explicitly said Infinite, Turbo, and later Mineroble are in the pipeline. They are not live yet. Do not treat community rumors as patch text. Mode choice and how it interacts with farming is covered on Game Modes.

Combat tuning in the same update:

  • Damage cards rebalanced.
  • Enemy Health cards moved to percentage instead of a flat value.
  • Overall damage skills and enemy health rebalanced.
  • Attack Distance II fixed.
  • Blisters need fewer hits and linger longer, so killing several in one window is more realistic.

If your old “best health card” advice assumed a fixed HP shred, rewrite it. Percentage math scales differently as later prestiges inflate tanks. Cross-check Skill Tier List after you swap a card.

Major Update Hotfix (August 14 evening)

A second pass the same day targeted late-game feel:

  • Blood clones can damage blisters.
  • Blisters have less HP and keep spawning enemies while they grow (without a curse).
  • Later-prestige enemy health rebalanced; blister-cursed enemies rebalanced.
  • Valkyries no longer track you during flight; they commit to your last known position when they take off.
  • Card drop chances improved; skill prices and card values rebalanced; more damage overall.
  • After the current final boss, the timeline no longer crawls.
  • Enemies are less tanky in general.
  • Blood bullet ultimate restored toward the intended feel.

Valkyrie flight is now a positioning puzzle, not a homing missile. Blister clones finally contribute. If you stalled after the last named fight because the clock felt broken, update before you blame your deck.

Cards Display Hotfix (August 16)

  • Boss damage deal/take cards now show 2% instead of 0.02% (and similar display bugs).
  • Card tier scaling was made more logical.

This was a readout fix, not necessarily a silent nerf. Read the live tooltip, then decide. If you sacrificed a card because it “did nothing,” check the new numbers before you repeat that sacrifice.

How to use this page with the rest of the wiki

After any patch: one mechanical change, one test run, one sentence of notes. Do not rebuild the entire Build Planner list because blister HP dropped. If modes interest you, start IGNOBLITE as a fresh laboratory rather than mixing it with a prestige IGNOBLE save. If you still need the store, use Official Links.

This is unofficial. Steam news remains the primary text. We will expand this article when Infinite, Turbo, or Mineroble actually ship—not when they are merely promised.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers grounded in IGNOBLE combat and progression.

Where are the official patch notes?

On Steam news for app 4216180. This page summarizes player impact; Steam remains the source of truth.

Do I need a new save for IGNOBLITE?

Progress is separate. What you do in IGNOBLITE does not change your original IGNOBLE campaign.

Why does my 1000-kill achievement not pop?

Hotfix #3 temporarily disabled the 1000 kills in a single run achievement. Wait for a later patch.

Did card percentages actually change on August 16?

The Cards Display Hotfix corrected shown values (for example 2% instead of 0.02%). Confirm the live tooltip before you rebuild.
